story: Donahue Prince is a horror author who specializes in all things gothic and supernatural. He is also an agent for a top secret government organization that checks out real life horrors, magic, and unexplained events. He is not nearly as stoked about the latter occupation, but, then again, it wasn't exactly his idea to join up in the first place.
Donahue spent his youth isolated from his peers and turned to writing fiction as an escape from his loneliness and an outlet for his emotions. He struck out on his own fresh out of highschool, cutting ties with his family in the process, and eventually made a name for himself as a niche but beloved novelist.
One night, while anxiously walking home alone after accidentally staying too late at a library, he bumped into a beautiful older man named Henry, whom he fell in love with at first sight. Henry was tall and striking handsome, like a building is handsome, with a face that could've been carved out of stone and crystalline eyes. But, more importantly, Henry was nice to Donahue. He helped Donahue pick up his books that scattered along the sidewalk and even paid attention when Donahue spoke. He insisted on walking Donahue home, and who was Donahue to say no?
Donahue kept bumping into Henry time and time again outside the library and kept falling more and more in love with him. Henry was always such a gentleman. He knew exactly how to make Donahue feel seen and heard and appreciated... Donahue, for once in his life, finally felt like he had a friend.
Soon enough, Henry asked Donahue out on a date, and after knowing each other for two months, they got married.
Henry was a perfect husband. (Donahue hadn't been in any other relationships before, but he was certain of that.) Henry loved Donahue. He held Donahue's hand and listened to him and kissed him like he was hungry. He always looked at Donahue with hunger, like if he could, he would keep him all to himself. It made Donahue feel good about himself for the very first time.
One day, Henry tried to eat Donahue. Whole. Donahue might’ve let him take just a bite, because, after everything that Henry had given him, he ought to deserve just a piece of him, but no. Henry’s jaw dropped to the floor and tentacles flew out of his mouth, reaching out to wrap around Donahue and pull him in. Donahue just barely managed to untangle himself and get the hell away from there and to the safety of the light of day.
As long as there were other people around, Henry wouldn’t dare show his true form, and Donahue didn’t want to or know to kill Shape Shifting Tentacle Monsters, so Donahue did the next best thing: he filed for divorce from Henry and got a restraining order.
Shortly after the divorce went through, when Henry walked right through the restraining order and attempted once again to eat Donahue, a group of men in black came up behind Henry and chopped his head off with an axe. The men told Donahue that they would take care of everything and that they were going to give him two options: he could either join up with [AGENCY NAME REDACTED] or they would take care of him, too, because he knew too much for them to let him go free. So Donahue begrudgingly joined the secret agency and now works with them investigating into the unknown.
As a member of the damned D unit (in which his codename is agent Donnie), he met agent Darling (real name: Ellie Willis), a fellow begrudging agent and nerd. Ellie was forced to join [AGENCY NAME REDACTED] after getting tangled up with a series of Real Ghost Hauntings due to her magic powers of foresight. The two of them quickly became close as love blossomed in freak world. They are now lovey dovey girlboyfriend and boygirlfriend.s/i name: luna tic

story: In my personal headcanon, America's Suitehearts is a TV show a la The Wiggles broadcasting from a close, connected alternate universe where everything is slightly Off, made up of gross caricatures and exaggerated allegories for issues from our world, to our world, Normal Land. The Suitehearts themselves are a touring band made up of magical beings whose primary audience is older children in our universe.
The original line-up of the Suitehearts: Dr Benzedrine, an ordinary man with an evil Shadowself named Mr Benzedrine, who is a little prick; H. Shoe Crab, who was wished into being after a little boy threw a normal horseshoe crab back into the Lake Michigan (in the Off world, which, yes, still has a Lake Michigan,) to bring his family's luck back, and the magical waters of Lake Michigan turned H. Shoe into a real human boy and the family took him in as their son; Donnie the Catcher, the ghost of a long-dead musician/football star cursed to possess the body of a doll; and Mr Sandman, a fallen angel who has been tasked by G-d to aid humans in their rest for a million days and nights in order to be redeemed and re-instated as an angel.
The two worlds are becoming continuously more interconnected, and more things keep falling through one world into the other, skewing the balance between Normal Land and Off. The Suitehearts are broadcasting their show to our world for various reasons (ie; for Sandman, it helps him in his quest from G-d, etc.,) but to primarily help the children of our world not to become corrupted by the sins of both worlds combined. They are a cautionary tale.
My character, Luna Tic, is the Prince of Nighttime and the newest member of the Suitehearts. Luna Tic plays the keys and is begrudging into Mr Sandman, I fucking guess.s/i name: elliot rowan

story: Elliot held a great interest in the occult all her life, leading her to become an author. In her mid-thirties, he was turned into a vampire against her will by her then closest friend. He was shunned by her family and ran off to a cabin some distance away from town and continued her literary career, especially gaining notoriety for her books on vampirism. He met and befriended Lawrence Van Helsing when Van Helsing came to town for a missing persons case. Elliot helped him solve the case, falling in love with him in the process. When her vampire status was revealed to him, he accepted it, even going as far as letting her turn him, too, later on down the line. Elliot accompanied Lawrence on his journies, eventually marrying him.s/i name: ernest dyce

story: Ernest and Herbert were frequent collaborators in the horror film world. When Herbert started killing people for real, Ernest became his primary confidant and begrudging supporter. Ernest nursed Herbert back to health after he got stabbed, and now they live together in an evil polycule in the titular madhouse.
